Saint Portraits Discontinued
It is with a little trepidation, and a whole lot of peace, that I share an important shop announcement:
The Saint Script saint portrait prints and notecards will be discontinued. This means that once they sell out, they will not be restocked. If certain portraits sell out by the end of February and there is high demand, I will offer one last chance to place an order at the beginning of March. After that, they will no longer be restocked. Prayer cards, prayer journals, and greeting cards will continue to be restocked for the foreseeable future.
I have not come to this decision lightly. I have been wrestling with the idea for over two years and have finally decided it is the appropriate time to listen to my gut and make room for new inspiration and growth as an artist.
These saint portraits have meant so much to me over the past five years. They have allowed me to make friends with not only the subject of the art (the saints), but also you! We have connected through a shared love for the communion of saints and the online community that formed around that shared love has carried me through so much loneliness and isolation. In hindsight, I see that for me these portraits were an intersession from the saints. They were an answered prayer.
I do not know for certain what is next for me artistically, but I have felt a nudge for quite some time that an evolution is happening within me as an artist.
In Saint Pope John Paul II's Letter to Artists, he addresses the letter to "all who are passionately dedicated to the search for new “epiphanies” of beauty so that through their creative work as artists they may offer these as gifts to the world."
I humbly ask for your prayers as I search for the "new epiphanies of beauty" I am meant to share with the world.
