The Tired Life of a Creative Small Business Owner

Last night, I sat down to write this post. I wanted to be upbeat and motivating, I desired to share the joy that living my passion truly brings me. But in that moment I was only feeling one thing: tired.

It is exhausting running a business and working a part-time job. There is only so much time in a day and I want to put my all into everything I do. So, I scramble around all day, processing orders, packing orders, running to the post office, ordering prints, running to my local printer to pick up prints, trying to get emails out in a timely manner, all the while thinking about the custom painting that I need to finish, like yesterday. Entrepreneurship is HARD, and I never want to make it seem like it's only sunshine and smiles. I need to stay authentic and honest not only with you, but with myself.

These days are long and tiring, but they are so. worth. it. There are moments during the day where I stop what I'm doing, make a latte, and remind myself that I prayed for this chaos. I knocked, and the Lord swung the door wide open for me.

With all that being said, this #FridayIntroductions post has quickly turned into a #TGIF post. Although my weekends have turned into work days lately, I am excited to spend some quality time with my husband and best friend the next two days. I hope you have a lovely weekend too!
